Serving his third term on the Renton City Council, Ed believes our government's strength comes from collaborating with our residents and community partners.
Ed is the Executive Director of the Washington State Commission on African American Affairs and previously worked for the Washington State House of Representatives.
Ed currently serves as President of the Sound Cities Association (SCA). He is also a member of the Sound Transit Board of Directors, Co-chair of the King County Regional Homeless Authority, and Vice-Chair of the Growth Management Policy Board (GMPB). During his time on council, he has served on several other regional boards and committees, including:
- Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Legislative Committee
- Sound Cities Association (SCA) Public Issue Committee (PIC)
- Regional Transit Committee
- Regional Water Quality Committee
- Growth Management Planning Council
- SCA Legislative Committee
- AWC State and Federal Policy Committee
- Economic Development District Board
Ed lives with his wife Meegan, son Alex, daughter Carrington and two pugs, Will and Kennedy.
