Sports Fields

Sports fields are available for softball, baseball, soccer, football and other activities.

Complete and submit the Field Use Request Form. Field rental requests must be submitted in writing and include the following:

  • Date of request, start time, end time and location of event
  • Renter's name with complete contact information
  • Nature/purpose of field rental

Gym Rental

The Renton Community Center gym is available for rent during operating hours as the schedule allows. Gym reservations can be made one week in advance by calling 425-430-6700.

Rental Rates

  • Full gym: $45 an hour for residents and $50 an hour for non-residents.
  • Double gym: $90 an hour for residents and $100 an hour for non-residents.

The Renton Community Center is just one of the many conveniently located facilities available for rent for business meetings, banquets and other special events.

Classrooms, large meeting rooms, and a banquet facility (with full kitchen) are available to accommodate a variety of needs from theater-style seating to banquet-style dining. A fully-trained staff will see to all needs from start to finish. Rates vary per site and function.

Picnic Shelter Rentals

City of Renton parks have a variety of picnic shelters available for reservations on a first-come basis. Reservations can be made either on-line or in person at the Renton Community Center.

Reservations are accepted from October 1 to April 30 and are in effect from May 1 to September 30.

Shelter Reservation Information

Picnic shelter reservations are available on a first-paid, first-served basis for non-profit events. No phone-in reservations allowed.

  • Groups must adhere to the picnic shelter rules and regulations as set forth by the City of Renton.
  • Requests for special events must make full disclosure (e.g., weddings, religious services, catering, etc.).
  • A day is considered 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • The maximum we can accommodate is 150 people.
  • Alcoholic beverages and bounce houses are strictly prohibited.

All shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no amenities, starting on October 1 and ending on April 30.

Shelters are reservable May 1 - September 30.

Online Shelter Reservation

Once online, click "Reserve a Facility" or select "Facilities" to search Park Shelter availability. To make a reservation, select "Online Picnic Shelter Reservation - Half Day or Full Day".

A Family PIN and Participant Barcode is required to book. Returning users can select "Forgot My Password" to have the PIN and barcode emailed.

First-time users can set up an account by choosing "Request New Account" or by calling the Renton Community Center at 425-430-6700.
