29th annual event was scheduled for November 20 and 21
RENTON, WA – The City of Renton has made the decision to cancel the 2020 edition of the annual Hassle Free Holiday Bazaar. The bazaar was scheduled for November 20 and 21 and would have been the 29th annual. Over 100 local art and craft vendors have taken part in what is a Renton holiday tradition.
The city based the decision on King County currently being paused in Phase 2 of Gov. Jay Inslee's phased approach to reopening businesses and activities. Even if the county were to move into Phase 3 before the bazaar's opening, the governor’s updated guidelines, which went into effect on July 20, limit non-religious gatherings to no more than 10 people.
Members of the city’s Community Services Recreation and Neighborhoods Division will be in touch with those vendors and past attendees with information on alternative shopping events.
