To address increasing traffic through the valley, and in anticipation of eventual development of the Boeing Longacres property, Lind Avenue SW will be widened to 5 lanes where required.

This project would include new roadway surface, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drainage, signals, lighting, signing, and channelization.

A potential project is a signal installation at the intersection at Lind Avenue SW and SW 34th Street. Additionally, improvements may result from future WSDOT I 405 plans (currently unfunded) which include an interchange at Lind Avenue SW.

The needs, priorities and schedules for improvements on Lind Avenue will be determined through arterial circulation studies, thus, schedules for design and construction are not yet established.

This project is significantly unfunded and the current total cost estimate is around $3.5 million.

The City of Renton hereby gives public notice that it is the City's policy to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities. Title VI requires that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any Federal Aid Highway program or other activity for which the City of Renton receives Federal financial assistance.

Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with the City of Renton. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with the City of Renton Human Resources within one hundred, eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
