Sports Fields

Sports fields are available for softball, baseball, soccer, football and other activities.

Complete and submit the Field Use Request Form. Field rental requests must be submitted in writing and include the following:

  • Date of request, start time, end time and location of event
  • Renter's name with complete contact information
  • Nature/purpose of field rental

Gym Rental

The Renton Community Center gym is available for rent during operating hours as the schedule allows. Gym reservations can be made one week in advance by calling 425-430-6700.

The Renton Community Center is just one of the many conveniently located facilities available for rent for business meetings, banquets and other special events.

Classrooms, large meeting rooms, and a banquet facility (with full kitchen) are available to accommodate a variety of needs from theater-style seating to banquet-style dining. A fully-trained staff will see to all needs from start to finish. Rates vary per site and function.

Picnic Shelters

City of Renton parks have a variety of picnic shelters available for rentals on a first-come basis. Reserving a picnic shelter can be made either online or in person at the Renton Community CenterRenton Senior Activity Center, or Highlands Neighborhood Center.

Picnic Shelter reservations begin the first business day in January. Reservations can be made for any day of the week from May 1 to September 30th. Reservations are for the designated time only. Times that have not been reserved are first-come, first served. Reservations are recommended.

Picnic shelter rentals are available on a first-paid, first-served basis for non-profit events. No phone-in rentals allowed.

  • Groups must adhere to the picnic shelter rules and regulations as set forth by the City of Renton.
  • Requests for special events must make full disclosure (e.g., weddings, religious services, catering, etc.).
  • A day is considered 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • The maximum we can accommodate is 150 people.
  • Alcoholic beverages and bounce houses are strictly prohibited.

All shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no amenities, starting on October 1 and ending on April 30.

Shelters are reservable from May 1 to September 30.
