City of Renton seeks to fill vacancies on the Renton Municipal Arts Commission
Applications are due by January 25, 2025, for the two open vacancies on the Renton Municipal Arts Commission
RENTON, WA (December 10, 2024) – The City of Renton seeks applicants to fill two vacancies on the Renton Municipal Arts Commission (RMAC). The commission is vital in advising the mayor and city council on artistic and cultural initiatives, including overseeing city-funded art displays, promoting arts education, and expanding community engagement with arts and culture.
The Arts Commission currently has two adult vacancies available. New members will serve a three-year term and be expected to attend monthly meetings held on the first Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission (RMAC) works to raise awareness of arts in the city. It acts in an advisory capacity to the mayor and city council concerning artistic and cultural development. RMAC is responsible for reviewing the design, execution, and acceptance of works of art funded or otherwise acquired by the city.
