RENTON, WA – Join us on Tuesday, June 1, as Renton Farmers Market celebrates its 20th season downtown.
The market is open every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. in Gateway Park (South Third Street and Logan Avenue South in downtown Renton) through Sept. 28. The location is the same as 2020, just west of Piazza Park.
The market is the best place to find fresh Washington-grown produce and flowers, prepared foods and crafts from your favorite farmers and vendors.
The market will follow COVID-19 guidelines established by Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC).
Like last year, shoppers will enter off South Third Street and have a separate exit. Market staff will monitor the number of shoppers to ensure proper social distancing. Sidewalk markings will be in place to maintain appropriate social distancing for those in line.
Shoppers are encouraged to take advantage of the free two-hour parking available at the City Center Garage (655 S. Second St.). The market is also adjacent to the Renton Transit Center for easy access via public transportation.
Returning to the market are hot food vendors, providing shoppers a great grab-and-go dinner option. At this time, COVID-19 restrictions do not allow live cooking demonstrations and live entertainment.
The successful SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) program returns and includes those with P-EBT (Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer) benefits. The market offers a dollar-for-dollar match for up to $40 with the SNAP Market Match Bucks each market day.
Renton Farmers Market organizers ask for the support and understanding of our community as we navigate changing conditions. Please be patient and respectful to market staff, vendors and volunteers as COVID-19 protocols are followed. These steps are necessary to help ensure the market remains safe and open for everyone.
