Fourth of JulyThe day begins at 9 a.m. with a co-ed volleyball tournament and ends at 10 p.m. with a spectacular 25-minute fireworks display. There will be free ActivityZones for kids in both the north and south ends of the park from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring inflatables, games, and face painting.

Enjoy live entertainment on the shore of Lake Washington from 4 to 9:30 p.m. A large lawn in front of the stage provides ample seating. The ActivityZones and live entertainment are sponsored by Coal Creek Family YMCA, Walmart, and The Landing.

Coulon Park covers 57 acres and stretches north along Lake Washington from the Southport Complex and has activities for almost everyone. There’s large grass areas for picnicking, a children’s play area, boat launch, docks, Ivar’s and Kidd Valley restaurants, a walking path that parallels the lake, and a beach with swimming area and lifeguards on duty from 12 to 8 p.m. daily.
