Clam Lights

Enjoy the return of Renton's Clam Lights at Gene Coulon Memorial Park. These Lights will be lit daily from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. December 7, 2024 through January 5, 2025, and the parking lot will close at 8 p.m. daily.

Elf Academy

Open recruitment, Santa needs your help! The North Pole needs more certified elves!

Saturday, December 14, 10:30am-12:30pm
Renton Community Center

Ages 3 & Up. Step into a world of holiday magic at our annual Elf Academy! You are invited to become Santa’s Special Helpers by completing a series of fun and festive tasks. From toy-making to reindeer games, each station is designed to spark creativity, build teamwork, and spread holiday cheer. Every participant will receive an official certificate from our Head Elves, declaring them an honorary elf ready to assist Santa.

Battle of the Badges

Hosted at the Renton Technical College, a new walk-through format with added food trucks that the whole family will enjoy!

 Immerse yourself in a festive atmosphere as Public Safety personnel from across the region transform their vehicles into dazzling holiday displays.

After enjoying the walk-through, cast your vote for the best displays!

Email Santa Claus

The Recreation Division has been working with the North Pole Communications Team to develop a plan for a convenient way to send a letter to Santa.

Santa Claus has agreed to share his Renton email address with up to 300 writers who would like to send him an email!

Email the Big Guy Himself here: [email protected].

Email Santa from November 29 through December 8 and he will reply via U.S. Mail by December 20.

Email writing tip for a successful email to Santa

  • Be sure to include your first and last name – it’s very hard to tell anyone’s name from an email address
  • Include the mailing address for the location you wish to receive your letter from Santa
  • If you don’t want to share your mailing address please note in email that an email response is preferred
  • Include a special wish that would be at the top of your list

Additional writing tips for those who may be helping with an email to Santa

  • Include age
  • School grade
  • Favorite activities
  • Helpful tasks that are accomplished
  • Something special about the individual
  • List the favorite gift delivered last year

When Santa’s inbox reaches 300 or after December 8, his email will be automatically be turned off by the North Pole Communications Team.
