Meadow Crest Playground is an inclusive playground for kids, families and their caretakers. Its vibrant and colorful outdoor space features fun and challenges for people of all ages and abilities.

The playground was developed in conjunction with the Renton School District and jointly serves the adjacent Meadow Crest Early Learning Center and the public at North Highlands Park for the greater Renton community.

The playground is divided into four areas:

  • Children ages 2 to 5; focuses on early development to help develop balance, coordination, imagination, and social and musical skills.
  • Children ages 5 to 12; play on swings and climbing equipment, including an oval dish swing; large enough for several people to swing together.
  • An area for all ages includes a climbing wall and two slides, a sliding glider large enough for a wheelchair or two, and a large spinning ring for balance, with a diameter capable of including 8 to 10 people.
  • The Nature Area, nestled below towering Douglas fir trees, features a climbable bear cub and comfortable gathering areas.
