Outdoor Exercise Area Open

On Feb. 28, 2023, we opened the outdoor exercise area. In addition to exercise equipment, the area features a ping pong table, a seating area, and a cornhole court. Landscaping was altered to provide a view of the Cedar River. Funding for the project was provided through the Renton Senior Center Fund.

Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center

The Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center was named on Sept. 10, 2022, for Don Persson, who selflessly dedicated 53 years of community service to the residents of Renton.

Don's career included 33 years as a member of Renton Police Department and 20 years as a Renton City Council member, retiring in December 2019. He passed away in October 2021.

The center is a drop-in facility for adults aged 50 and older. The center serves as a focal point in the community for quality recreational, social, health, educational, and nutritional services.

We offer a variety of activities that encourage fun, friendship, and socialization in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Come on in and see what we have to offer!

The center does not provide respite adult day care or services that would normally be provided by a trained attendant, nurse, or personal caregiver.
