Grant Funding Highlights for 2024
In 2022, the Arts Commission received funding requests that nearly doubled its annual budget, inspiring members to work diligently to allocate resources to as many impactful projects as possible.
For 2024, the Commission awarded $52,627 in grant funding to support 15 community-focused projects that embody a strong commitment to public benefit, a cornerstone of this program.
Prioritizing Community Access and Inclusion
The funded projects emphasize accessibility and enrichment for all. Grantees are required to provide opportunities like free public performances, exhibitions, workshops, screenings, and readings. Additionally, the program supports:
- Scholarships for fee-based arts education or training.
- Initiatives increasing access for individuals with physical disabilities or limited English proficiency.
These efforts aim to ensure the arts remain inclusive and accessible, engaging a diverse range of participants across the community.
