The Henry Moses Aquatic Center provides opportunities for swim lessons and fitness and combines water play and fun to create a relaxing atmosphere, bringing together families and friends.

The aquatic center is located in the northeast corner of Cedar River Park along Maple Valley Highway and features:

  • Two 26-feet high water slides
  • Two separate pools
  • 9,000-square-foot leisure pool
  • 3,300-square-foot, six-lane lap pool
  • Large sun and shade spaces
  • Bathhouse and lockers
  • The Shark Bites Cafe offers a variety of beverages and snacks
  • Small selection of swimming accessories are available in the admissions area

The leisure pool includes:

  • Zero-depth entry
  • Wave machine
  • Water spray play area
  • Lazy river
  • Island lagoon
  • Water play structure
  • Toddler water area
  • Numerous spray features

The Henry Moses Aquatic Center is open seasonally, mid-June through Labor Day.

Hours & Rates

The Henry Moses Aquatic Center ticket office is open three hours prior to the upcoming session. Sales begin at 9 a.m. for the 12 p.m. session and at 1 p.m. for the 4 p.m. session.

All General Admission sales are final, good for say of purchase only, and refunds will not be issued for unused tickets.

Proof of Renton residency is required to receive the resident discount. Session times and rates are listed below.

  • Session I: 12 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Session II: 4 to 7:30 p.m.

Season Pass Holder Benefits

  • Guaranteed admission through the Season Pass Gate, within the first hour of session start, up to fire code capacity.
  • "Express Season Pass Card Line" will remain open for the first hour of each session.

Aquatic Center Rules

General Information

  • Everyone who enters the facility must pay the appropriate fee.
  • City of Renton residents must be able to prove residency or non-resident rates will be charged.
  • Participants must wear wristbands at all times. Wristbands may be used to exit and re-enter the facility during the same session.
  • City of Renton Park Rules and Regulations apply to the Henry Moses Aquatic Center.
  • The City of Renton is not responsible for personal items.
  • Coolers are allowed in the facility; however, glass containers, lawn chairs, and barbeques are not allowed.
  • Water toys such as noodles, water wings, balls, air mattresses, and inner tubes are not allowed. U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets are the only devices permitted.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Food or drink is not allowed within five feet (5') of the water.
  • Alcohol and tobacco are not allowed.
  • When thunder and/or lightening occur, the water will be cleared for safety.
  • Participants 12 years of age and younger must be supervised by someone 16 years of age or older.
  • Monitoring children is the responsibility of the supervising adult, regardless of the presence of lifeguards.
  • Participants must be 48-inches tall to ride the slides.
  • Participants less than 48-inches tall may ride the lazy river with an adult.
  • Participants who are not able to demonstrate their ability to swim the crawl stroke 75-feet will not be allowed in water over their shoulders.
  • Participants with open sores, infections, or communicable diseases are not allowed in the water.
  • Participants must shower before entering the pool.
  • Proper swimwear is required.  Males must wear swimsuits with drawstrings, while females must wear one or two-piece suits. Suits with metal buttons, snaps, or rivets will not be allowed on the slides. T-shirts may be worn in addition to proper swimwear.
  • Participants under three years of age must wear approved swim diapers at all times while in the facility.
  • Diapers must be changed in the locker room.
  • All participants using the lazy river must be in a tube unless an adult is assisting a child.

Party Tent and Group Rentals

Party Tent Rental Fees

Henry Moses Aquatic Center party tent rentals are available for reservation for the 2017 summer season online or in person at the Renton Community Center. Washington State sales tax will be added to all party tent rental fees.

Party Tent #1

  • 10'x20'
  • Admittance for up to 25 guests 
  • Resident: $310 + Tax
  • Non-Resident: $475 + Tax

Party Tent #2

  • 10'x10'
  • Admittance for up to 15 guests
  • Resident: $200 + Tax
  • Non-Resident: $300 + Tax

Group/Day Camp Rates

  • Group Rates are for groups of 10 or more
  • Resident: $10 per person 
  • Non-Resident: $16 per person
  • Must have at least one supervising adult per ten children
  • Supervisors must actively supervise the group
  • Everyone entering the facility will be charged
  • All ages (including children under 1) are included in the total number of admissions

Reservations must be made at least one business day in advance of your booking date, and are on a first come first served basis. 

Group reservations are available online or in person at the Renton Community Center.

Resident Discount Rate

The City of Renton recognizes people living within Renton's city limits and their support through city taxes. Because of this, the city offers residents inside the city limits a discount on programs and facility rental fees.

Individuals who reside outside the city limits are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the activities and services the City of Renton provides.

Addresses within the greater Renton area do not accurately indicate whether or not a household is located within Renton city limits.

Renton addresses inside the Renton City limits:

  • Have a four-digit or less house number and a one or two-digit street address. (Example: 1234 SE 18th Street)
  • Have a four-digit or less house number and a street name. (Example: 1234 Main Ave. NE.)
  • Have a five-digit house number and were annexed by the City of Renton.

End of Year Parties

  • The Henry Moses Aquatic Center is available to schools for end-of-the-year parties the week prior to opening in June.
  • Field and gym usage is also available.
  • Schools may bring in their own food (remember, no barbecues or glass containers allowed).
  • The concession stand is not open during school parties.

Private Party Rentals

The Henry Moses Aquatics Center is a unique spot to host a special event.

With pool lighting, the facility is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 8 to 10 p.m.

  • Maximum of 500 guests.
  • Cost is $1,800 + Tax for Renton residents
  • $2,300 + Tax for non-Renton residents.
  • Washington State sales tax will be added to all private party rental fees.
