The City of Renton Planning Commission meeting for Wednesday, October 20, 2021, has been canceled.  The next regular Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 6 pm.  For further information, please call 425-430-7272.

In response to COVID-19, Commissioners are attending this meeting remotely. City Hall is closed so no in-person comments will be accepted. However, the public is encouraged to participate in a variety of ways. 1) Submit comments in advance by 5PM the day before the meeting to dmarshall@rentonwa.gov, 2) Call in to 253-215-8782 (meeting ID: 977 2953 7677 , password: 028653) or 3) join the meeting through the Zoom video conference web application at https://zoom.us/j/97729537677?pwd=QlJ6TzVhZU1TdWJhSTVIM2xWTjFUUT09 .

Those providing audience comment will be limited to 3 minutes each speaker unless an exception is granted by the Commission. Attendees will be muted and not audible to the Commission except during times they are designated to speak. 

The Renton Planning Commission reviews staff proposals, holds public hearings, and submits recommendations to the City Council on amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, subarea plans, the Shoreline Master Program, and areawide rezonings and zoning text amendments.  Planning Commission appointments are made by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.  Meetings are held the first and third Wednesday at 6 pm in Council Chambers, 7th floor of Renton City Hall. *During the months of August and December, meetings will only be held on the first Wednesday.
