Type 3 Applications

Type 3 Land Use Applications require public notice, a 2 week comment period, and a public hearing. Once a complete application is submitted and all fees are paid a Type 3 application decision can be issued in 12 weeks. Examples of Type 3 applications include Preliminary Plat, Site Plan Review, and Planned Urban Developments.

Public Hearings are typically held on Tuesday afternoons in the City of Renton Council Chambers. The City's Hearing Examiner will hold the hearing and render a decision following the hearing within 10 business days. Following the decision a 2 week appeal period will commence.
