The Parks, Recreation, and Natural Areas (PRNA) Plan serves as a road map for setting priorities for Renton’s parks, recreation opportunities, and natural areas. Every six years, the Parks and Recreation Department collaborates with the community and strategic partners to update the plan to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our growing and evolving city.
The current PRNA Plan was adopted by the City Council on January 27, 2020, and will expire in early 2026. An update to the plan is underway to ensure Renton’s parks, recreation, and natural areas remain vibrant, accessible, and aligned with community priorities.
