Gina Estep appointed as Renton Community & Economic Development Administrator
The city welcomes familiar face to leadership for the Community & Economic Development Department
RENTON, WA (September 4, 2024) – Mayor Armondo Pavone has appointed Gina Estep as the city's Community Economic Development Administrator in May 2024. Estep has been with the city since January 2023, serving as the department's Economic Development Director.
Of her new role, Mayor Pavone said, "Gina brings a wealth of experience in urban planning and economic development, having served in various leadership roles in neighboring cities, leaving a trail of positive evolution in each community. Her expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow and develop our community.
Estep has 30+ years of experience in the economic development field, including Community and Economic Development Director positions at the City of North Bend and Covington and urban planner for Murray Franklyn Companies. She holds a degree in urban and Regional Planning and Community Development from Western Washington University.
"Renton has been an evolving and growing city for the past decade, and I look forward to being part of that evolution by creating a positive impact on our community's economic and cultural future," said Estep.
Originally from Redmond, Washington, Estep has called Renton home for the last 17 years.
