Starting on August 29, the City of Renton Public Works Department plans to apply a new "slurry seal" treatment to selected streets in your neighborhood to extend the life of the pavement.
Slurry seal is a cost-effective and preventative maintenance treatment that preserves the longevity of streets. During this time, the plan for temporary street closures is outlined in yellow on the map. The project is scheduled to be completed two weeks from the start date.
Pedestrians and pets should keep off the slurry seal material until the street is reopened for traffic because the emulsion that has not cured is challenging to remove from clothing, shoes or paws.
