Dear residents,
I have heard loud and clear your frustration, and discontentment for the weeks of delayed and lack of service from Republic Services. I want you to know I share the same feelings and sentiment.
Please know I’m working with city staff to vet out all options to address this situation and to get your bills adjusted accordingly.
Although we support the drivers in California, we are appalled that Republic Services would allow an out-of-state challenge to impact our community’s already strained service to this degree.
There have been locations open where you can take your garbage for free, and we are asking for more, but please know this is completely optional. We are pushing Republic Services for drivers to be sent out immediately to neighborhoods and business for trash removal.
I know this is a major inconvenience for you and you have every right to be upset. We will continue to update you as we push through this situation.
Mayor Armondo Pavone
