The City of Renton Emergency Management division is currently monitoring the atmospheric river event and potential impact to the Cedar River and surrounding low-lying areas. Free lunch, snacks, and activities will be provided to children aged 1-18 at various places around the city this summer.
Renton School District's Summer Meals Program, in partnership with the city's Parks and Recreation Department, allows all kids to access healthy food when school is out. Most meals will be served Monday through Friday, from June 30 to August 15, at various locations, including several city parks:
