April 20: Two proclamations were presented during the Monday, April 20 council meeting

• Arbor Day/Earth Day. Accepting the proclamation was Interim Urban Forestry Manager, Gabriella Golzarian.
• Courts Personnel Appreciation Week. Accepting the proclamation was Renton Municipal Court Judge Jessica Giner, Court Administrator Yanna Filippidis, and court staff. 

April 13: Two proclamations were presented during the Monday, April 13 council meeting

• National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Accepting the proclamation was Valley Communications Executive Director Vonnie Mayer and 911 operator Sydney.
• Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Accepting the proclamation was CEO of King County Sexual Assault Resource Center (KCSARC) Kate Garvey.

April 6: Two proclamations were presented during the Monday, April 6 council meeting:

• Volunteer Month. Accepting the proclamation was City of Renton Volunteer Coordinator, Teresa Nishi. Alongside her, two volunteers also accepted the proclamation, Jennetta Edwards and Jessica Lauer.
• Sikh Heritage Month/Vaisakhi Day. Accepting the proclamation was Mayor's Inclusion Task Force member, Rupy Kaur.

March 2: America Red Cross Month. Accepting the proclamation was American Red Cross- King County Chapter, Government Operations and Community Partnerships Coordinator Paul Thomsen.

February 23: Lunar New Year (February 17-March 3). Accepting the proclamation was International Community Health Services (ICHS) CEO Kelli Nomura, ICHS Chief Information Officer Phoung Hong, and board member of ICHS Foundation and owner of Viet-Wah, LeeChing Tran.

February 2: Black History Month. Accepting the proclamation was Curtis Riggins and Kirsten Thorton, co-founders of the Renton School District's Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

January 12: Korean American History Day (January 13, 2026). Accepting the proclamation was Myung Park, Board Chair of the Korean Women’s Association.

• November 24:
  • Small Business Saturday (November 29). Accepting the proclamation was TiQuida Spellman, owner of Baile Dior Studios. Spellman was recently named King County Creative Economy Small Business of the Year.
  • Artist Sunday (November 30). Accepting the proclamation was Ned Mueller, a longtime Renton resident and accomplished fine artist. Mueller is a Designated Master Artist and was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. 
• October 27: National Fire Prevention Month. Accepting the proclamation was Renton Regional Fire Authority's Fire Marshal, Anjela Barton.
• October 20: National Filipino American Heritage Month. Accepting the proclamation was member of the city's Planning Commission and Secretary of the Association of Filipino-American Engineers of Washington (AFEW), Josephine Bayan.
• October 13: National Community Planning Month. Accepting the proclamation was Community and Economic Development Planning Director, Matt Herrera and staff from the Planning Division. 
• October 6: Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Accepting the proclamation was Renton Police Department Domestic Violence Victim Advocate, Tina Harris, along with Executive Director of DAWN (Domestic Abuse Women's Network) Rising, Gina Finley.
• September 22:
  • Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15). Accepting the proclamation was Consejo Counseling & Referral Service Executive Assistant Kenia Cosio.
  • National Service Dog Month. Accepting the proclamation was Canine Companions volunteer Lee Cummings and service dog Barbie.
• September 15:
  • National IT Professionals Day. Accepting the proclamation was Information Technology Director Young Yoon.
  • Workforce Development Month (September 2025): Accepting the proclamation was Executive Director of the Office of Innovation and Strategic Partnership Wade Parrott III on behalf of Renton Technical College.

• June 16: Juneteenth (June 18-20). Accepting the proclamation was Renton City Council President James Alberson, Jr. 
• June 2: LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. Accepting the proclamation was Renton Pride's Vice President, Winter Cashman.
• May 19:
  • National Public Works Week (May 18-24). Accepting the proclamation was Utility Systems Director Ron Straka.
  • Safe Boating & Paddling Week (May 17-23): Accepting the proclamation was Deborah Alderman and members of the local U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Renton Flotilla 2-5.
• May 12: Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI). Accepting the proclamation was business owner of Saimin Says, Angie Mose.
• May 5: Municipal Clerks Week. Accepting the proclamation was City of Renton's Deputy City Clerk/Public Records Officer, Melissa McCain.

• March 10: Renton's Holi Festival of Color. Accepting the proclamation was Vasudha Sharma, founder of non-profit Voice of Planet and Mayors Inclusion Task Force member. 
• March 3: National Employee Appreciation Week in Renton (March 3 - 7). Accepting the proclamation was Public Works Department Water Engineering Manager Abdoul Gafour, who has worked for the city for over 45 years.
• February 3: Black History Month in Renton. Accepting the proclamation was Doris Martinez, Mayors Inclusion Task Force member and Executive Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Renton Technical College.
• January 27: Lunar New Year in Renton (January 27 - February 1). Accepting the proclamation was Lele (Happy) Tian, Mayors Inclusion Task Force member.

• November: Diabetes Awareness Month in Renton. To accept the proclamation was Renton's City Clerks Officer, Jason Seth.
• October 21: Filipino American History Month in Renton. Two of the Mayor’s Inclusion Task Force members, Violet Aesquivel and Rolly Polintan, accepted the proclamation.
• October 14: National Planning Month in Renton. To accept the proclamation was the city's Planning Director, Matt Herrera and several of the planners within the city's Community & Economic Development Department.
• October 7: Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Renton. The proclamation was accepted by Tina Harris, the Renton Police Department's domestic violence advocate. Katya Wojcik, the director of Project Be Free, joined in the designation as this year's highlighted partner. In addition, the following agencies funded by the city were in attendance during the council meeting: Centro Rendu of St. Vincent de Paul, Crisis Connections, Lifewire, ELAP, and DAWN. A full list of all funded agencies available on the city's domestic violence website.
• September 23: Ready in Renton Month. To accept the proclamation was the city's Emergency Management Director, Deborah Needham.
• September 16: Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 -October 15) in Renton. To accept the proclamation was restaurant owner of Santa Fe Mexican Grill, Isidro Rojas.
• August 5: Farmers Market Week in Renton (August 4-10). To accept the proclamation was Renton Farmers Market Coordinator, Carrie Olson. 
• July 8: Parks and Recreation Month in Renton. To accept the proclamation was City of Renton Parks and Recreation Administrator Maryjane Van Cleave, accompanied by various staff from the department. 
• July 1: Disability Pride Month in Renton. To accept the proclamation was Kristina Brown, Kindering Director of Public Affairs, parent Rome Johnson, and Kari Grimit, Renton campus manager from Kindering.
• June 17: Juneteenth 2024 in Renton. To accept the proclamation was Danielle Smith, Renton Chamber of Commerce Board Chair and Renton business owner of Café de la Loba.
• June 10: LGBTQIA+ Pride Month in Renton. The proclamation was accepted by Sara Palmer, President of the Renton LGBTQIA+ Community.
• May 13:
  • Safe Boating and Paddling Week in Renton (May 18-24). The proclamation was accepted by Debra Alderman from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla. 
  •  National Public Works Week in Renton (May 19-25). The proclamation was accepted by Public Works Administrator Martin Pastucha.
• May 6: Professional Municipal Clerks Week in Renton (May 5-11). To accept the proclamation was Renton’s City Clerk and Public Records Officer and frequent speaker during Monday night council meetings, Jason Seth. Featured in the picture includes staff from the City Clerks Division. 
• April 22: National Volunteer Month in Renton. To accept the proclamation was the city's Volunteer Program Coordinator, Teresa Nishi.
