Communities in Schools of Renton

Site Coordinators work with at-risk students, families, and schools to provide students with the resources they need to stay in school. Mentors work with students at risk of academic failure in elementary and middle school.

Family Development – PACT (Parents & Children Together)

In-home based intervention to families at risk of CPS involvement. Focus on improving family functioning/ parenting skills.

Issaquah School Foundation/VOICE Mentor Program

Mentors work with Issaquah School District students to increase performance and self-esteem, develop critical social skills and reengage them in their school.
Renton Area Youth Services – RAYS UP

One-on-one coaching, social,
emotional skills groups, and out-of-school activities.

Apply for cash benefits and EBT (food) cards, and child care. Applications may be done via phone from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The Renton office located at 500 SW 7th Street, #B, provides walk-in services weekdays from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Customers who check in by 2 p.m. will be served that day.

Bridge Disability Ministries
Medical Equipment Center provides used durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers. Open Mon-Thurs 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Fridays 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.. Message phone: 425-885-1008.

Lifewire – Services for Survivors of Domestic Violence

Provides safety planning, resource referral, 24-hr helpline, adult/teen/child support groups, mental health therapy, legal advocacy, assistance with landlords, and support for children.

YWCA Domestic Violence (DV) Children’s Program

Provides a 10 week education/skill based curriculum for children ages 3-18 and non-abusive caregivers in their home.

Education support for homeless students. Get help enrolling in school, transportation to school, or barriers to succeeding in school.


Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee / Advanced Manufacturing Prep (APM) Training Center

Provides pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship training in manufacturing and career navigation.


Vocational services including skills training,  vocational counseling and one-on-one assistance to link with employers and retain employment.

Partner in Employment
Helps refugees and immigrants to connect with resources, overcome barriers to employment, and access family wage jobs.

Puget Sound Training Center

Employment services including customized skills training, intensive one-on- one case management, career coaching, job placement assistance, and workshops to improve life skills and job readiness.


Emergency Feeding Program

Drive-thru is open for individuals to receive a pre-packed bag filled with basic essentials. Each bag has bread, produce, pasta, dairy, and meat. No sign-up is required. This service is open to all zip codes.

Social workers, agencies, organizations, and school officials are welcome to come to the Emergency Feeding warehouse to receive food items for clients.
