Day of Service

Saturday, September 7
Projects start at 8:45 a.m.

The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance is the culmination of an effort launched in 2002 by 9/11 family members and support groups. The day is set aside to honor and remember the victims and first responders of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In 2009, Congress designated September 11th as a National Day of Service and Remembrance and charged the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) with supporting this effort across the country.

The City of Renton will identify volunteer opportunities throughout the city. Information about projects will be listed here in July.
