History of the Cruz

A brief history of The Cruz;

  • It was the place to see and be seen in Renton back in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
  • Back then, we didn’t have Facebook or Instagram.This was our social network.
  • This was the “it” spot to show off your cars and the place to hang out with friends.
  • Due to its popularity and the traffic congestion it generated, the city had to ban it for decades.
  • We’re bringing it back for this one day, so thanks for joining us relive the famous Renton Loop!
