STREAM

STREAM Team is a Parks and Recreation Division afterschool enrichment program designed to bring fun, high-quality STEM focused activities to the youth of Renton. While our specialties are science, technology, recreation, environment, arts, and math; we want the program to reflect the interests of our members to help develop inquisitive, life-long learners with a passion for asking questions and finding answers.

Curious about how mushrooms form a ring on the playground? Let’s grow some inside and track their development! Have an idea for a cool video game? Let’s learn some basic Scratch coding to make it a reality! Wondering why trebuchets throw farther than catapults? Let’s build some scale models and observe the physics!

The program is rounded out with all the other important pieces of being a kid: playing tag on the playground, reading a good book in a cozy corner, making a new friend over a pile of Legos, and everything else that makes growing up so much fun.
