Reservation Information
City of Renton parks have a variety of picnic shelters available for rentals on a first-come basis. Reserving a picnic shelter can be made either through the online reservation platform or in person at the Renton Community Center, Renton Senior Activity Center, or Highlands Neighborhood Center.
Select picnic shelters in the Renton Parks System are available for rentals any day of the week from May 1 to September 30. Reservations are for the designated time only. Times that have not been reserved are first-come, first served. Reservations are recommended.
Picnic shelter rentals are available on a first-paid, first-served basis for non-profit events. No phone-in rentals allowed.
- Rental hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- The occupancy limit varies at each location.
- Groups must adhere to the picnic shelter rules and regulations as set forth by the City of Renton.
- Requests for special events must make full disclosure (e.g., weddings, religious services, catering, etc.).
- Alcoholic beverages and bounce houses are strictly prohibited.
All shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no amenities, from October 1 through April 30.
Cancelations and changes to the date, time or location must be made 14 days prior to the reservation. All changes are based on shelter availability and must be made by the contracted renter via email to recreation@rentonwa.gov
