Community Engagement

Renton’s extensive park system has been shaped by ongoing public involvement in long-term visioning and planning.

The city’s Parks, Recreation and Natural Areas Plan ensures that Renton’s park system meets current demand and designed to accommodate the needs of future generations.

The Trails and Bicycle Master Plan reflects the community’s desire for an interconnected trail and non-motorized transportation network that facilitates both local and regional connections.

Through community engagement via platforms like the Your Voice Renton website and in-person events, the city gathers input to guide the development of parks, trails, open spaces, and facilities. These efforts respond to local needs, values, and conditions while preserving the integrity and quality of the parks system.

Current Parks Projects
