We're currently looking for Saturday Greeters and Oral History Team members! All new volunteers must fill out an online application and pass a City of Renton background check. Please note that as a subsidiary of the City of Renton, we are unable to sign off on any court-mandated volunteer service.

Want to do research?

The Museum has a collection of maps, bound local newspapers, city directories, yearbooks, oral histories, and files on various local interest topics available to view by appointment. Please email us at rentonhistorymuseum@rentonwa.gov to make an appointment.

Want to make a financial contribution?

Your financial contributions allow us to provide free research assistance to the public. It also funds training programs for our volunteers, the printing of our free newsletter, and supports ongoing work towards online exhibits.

The Museum currently accepts donations in the form of checks only. Please make them out to Renton History Museum. Checks can be mailed to our address at 235 Mill Ave S., Renton, WA.

Have an object to donate?

As of March 2024, the Museum and the Historical Society have begun operating independently of one another. If you have an inquiry about object donations, please contact the Renton Historical Society via their website, rentonhistory.org.
