Renton Municipal Arts Commission (RMAC)

RentonArtsCommission

Overview

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission (RMAC) was created on August 9, 1965, through resolution 1320. The commission manages an annual budget and advises the city on growing and supporting arts and culture in Renton.

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission works to connect people with arts and culture in Renton. Their goals are to:

  • Get more people involved and aware of Renton's cultural and artist community.
  • Be the go-to source for arts information in Renton.
  • Find more funding for arts and culture programs.
  • Support arts education at all levels.
  • Help the city with arts projects and public art.

Grants

RMAC gives grants to people, organizations, and community groups to make our city's culture more vibrant. These grants support different arts and culture projects and events that everyone in Renton can enjoy.

We're excited to back creative projects that bring people together and offer new ways to connect, especially for our underserved groups. The grants provide flexibility, allowing us to help individuals and groups not covered by our annual Community Arts Support Program.

Grants usually range from $500 to $10,000 and are for projects happening in 2025 with all projects wrapping up by December 15, 2025. Make sure to check out the Grant Guidelines before you apply. If you have questions, feel free to reach out using the contact info in the guidelines. We're here to help!
