TRAFFIC ALERT: Parts of Oakesdale Avenue SW and N 3rd Street to close February 24 and 26 for railroad crossing repair

Parts of Oakesdale Avenue SW and N 3rd Street to close February 24 and 26 for railroad crossing repair

WHAT:

The City of Renton Public Works Department will close portions of N 3rd Street and Oakesdale Avenue SW to traffic in order for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad to repair railroad crossings.

WHEN:

Friday, February 24, 2017, Oakesdale Avenue SW between SW 34th Street and SW 41st Street will be closed to traffic.

Sunday, February 26, 2017, N 3rd Street between Houser Way N/Factory Ave N and Sunset Boulevard N will be closed to traffic.

Detours on both projects will go up at 5 a.m. each day. Work is expected to last until approximately 6 p.m.

The work is not weather-dependent.

WHY:

Burlington Northern Santa Fe is repairing the railroad crossings.
