City of Renton Arterial Traffic Impacts

Week of January 2, 2017

Note: All projects are weather permitting and unless otherwise noted streets will always remain open. Please note Harrington Avenue NE, Sunset Lane NE and Glennwood Avenue NE will be closed until approximately July 31, 2017

South 2nd and Main Avenue South

Monday, January 2nd through Sunday, January 8th.   The two west lanes on Main between 2nd and 3rd will be closed for project improvements while the east lanes will be open for traffic flow.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. The on-site inspector is Pat Miller, 206-794-6162.

Harrington Avenue NE and Glenwood Avenue NE

Monday, January 2nd  through Friday, March 31st (2017).   Full road closure on Harrington between Sunset Lane NE and Harrington Avenue NE as well as a full road closure on Harrington Avenue NE between NE 10th Street and Sunset Lane NE will be in place as part of the Sunset Lane Capital Improvement Project.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions can be directed to Keith Wooley, 425-430-7318 or Mark Wetherbee, 206-999-1829.

S 14th Street

Monday, January 2nd through Sunday, January 8th.  Road Closure on South 14th Street between Shattuck Avenue S through Smithers Avenue S for WSDOT Talbot Hill project. Open to local access only.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro, 425-207-6013.

Lind Avenue SE

Monday, January 2nd through Friday, 6thth, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single lane closure on Lind Avenue SE at the 3000 block due to franchise utility work.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions may be directed to Tom Main, 206-999-1833.

East Valley Highway

Monday, January 2nd through Friday, January 6th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single lane closure on East Valley Highway at the 3000 block due to franchise utility work.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions may be directed to Tom Main, 206-999-1833.

SW 7th Street

Monday, January 2nd through Friday, January 6th , 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.   Lane closures along SW 7th Street between Powell Avenue SW and Lind Avenue SW due to storm water Capital Improvement Project.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions may be directed to Dan Carey, 425-430-7293, or Pat Miller, 206-794-6162.

116th Avenue SE

Monday, January 2nd through Friday, January 6th, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Potential Intermittent lane closure south of SE Petrovitsky Road along the west side of 116th Avenue SE due to utility construction.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions may be directed to Tom Main, 206-999-1833.

Tuesday, January 3rd through Friday, January 6th, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Temporary lane restrictions on the east side of 116th Avenue SE at SE Petrovitsky Road for sidewalk construction as part of the Sidewalk Improvement Project.  Questions may be directed to Todd Freih, 206-999-1832.

Lake Washington Blvd N

Monday, January 2nd through Friday, January 6th, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Intermittent Lake closures at Lake Washington Blvd just north of Houser Way N/Gene Coulon Park due to utility installation. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco, 425-282-2373.

156th Avenue SE

Monday, January 2nd through Friday, January 6th, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Potential lane closure along 156th Avenue SE near SE 142nd Place due to right of way restoration.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions can be directed to Mark Wetherbee, 206-999-1829.

General – Victoria Hills and Cascade Neighborhoods

Monday, January 2nd through Friday, January 6th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Multiple single lane closures within the Victoria Hills and the majority of the roadways within Cascade Neighborhoods for franchise utility work.  Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed.  Questions may be directed to Tom Main, 206-999-1833.
