City of Renton Arterial Traffic Impacts

Week of August 14, 2016

Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures will be at the following locations. All projects are weather permitting and unless otherwise noted streets will always remain open.

Please note: Harrington Avenue NE, Sunset Lane NE and Glennwood Avenue NE will be closed until approximately July 31, 2017.

South 2nd and Main Avenue South
Monday, August 15th through Sunday, August 21st.
The two west lanes on Main between 2nd and 3rd will be closed for project improvements while the east lanes will be open for traffic flow. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. The on-site inspector is Pat Miller, 206-794-6162.

SW 43rd Street
Monday, August 15th through Sunday, August 21st.
Lane closures on SW 43rd Street around IKEA due to utility installation. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Tom Main, 206-999-1833.

Talbot Road S
Monday, August 15th through Friday, August 19th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Possible lane closures on northbound Talbot Road S at S 198th Pl due to utility installation. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Tom Main, 206-999-1833.

NE 4th Street
Monday, August 15th through Friday, August 19th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Potential lane closure along NE 4th Street due to franchise utility construction. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Mark Wetherbee, 206-999-1829.

Duvall Avenue NE Intersections
Monday, August 15th through Friday, August 19th, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Duvall Avenue NE will have temporary curb lane closures at NE 6th Street due to installation of electrical systems needed for the pedestrian signal system. The left turn lane on Duvall Avenue NE from NE 6th Street to NE 7th Place and NE 8th Street to NE 9th Street is permanently closed. The two northbound lanes between NE 8th Street and NE 10th Street will be diverted to a single lane on the southbound side of the street during the first part of the week due to pavement repairs. Burnett Avenue N
Monday, August 15th through Wednesday, August 31st.
Full road closure on Burnett Avenue N between N 30th Street and N 32nd Street due to a storm water Capital Improvement Project. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Joe Farah, 425-430-7205, or Mark Wetherbee, 206-999-1829.

160th Avenue SE
Monday, August 15th through Friday, August 19th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Potential lane closure along 160th Avenue SE due to water main installation. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Mark Wetherbee, 206-999-1829.

SW 7th Street
Monday, August 15th through Friday, August 19th, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Westbound lane closure along SW 7th Street between Oakesdale Avenue SW and Lind Avenue SW except to local traffic due to storm water Capital Improvement Project. Eastbound single lane open with flaggers on both sides of lane closure. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. S 14th Street
Monday, August 15th through Friday, August 19th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Road Closure on South 14th Street between Shattuck Avenue S through Smithers Avenue S for WSDOT Talbot Hill project. Open to local access only. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro, 425-207-6013.

Beginning on Monday, August 15 King County crews will begin the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of 156th Avenue SE and SE 142nd Place. Please expect intermittent lane closures and traffic backups. As always emergency vehicles will be given priority.
