City of Renton Arterial Traffic Impacts

Week of May 29, 2017

 Note:  All projects are weather permitting and unless otherwise noted streets will always remain open.  Please note Harrington Avenue NE, Sunset Lane NE and Glennwood Avenue NE will be closed until approximately July 31, 2017.

ALERT – Monday, May 29 – In addition as part of this project SR 515 (Talbot Road South) will be closed between the southbound I-405 off ramp and the northbound I-405 on ramp from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

South 2nd and Main Avenue South
Monday, May 29th through Sunday, June 4th.
Lane closures due to road construction for the 2nd and Main Capital Improvement Project. An approved traffic control plan has been issued and will be followed. Questions can be directed to Keith Wooley, 425-430-7318, or Mark Wetherbee, 206-999-1829.

Harrington Avenue NE and Glenwood Avenue NE
Monday, May 29th through Friday, September 29th (2017)
. Full road closure on Harrington between Sunset Lane NE and Harrington Avenue NE as well as a full road closure on Harrington Avenue NE between NE 10th Street and Sunset Lane NE will be in place as part of the Sunset Lane Capital Improvement Project. Park Avenue North, Garden Avenue North, North 3rd Street, and North 4th Street
Monday, May 29th through August 2018, 8:30 am to 4:45 pm.
Additional construction traffic due to the construction of Sartori Elementary School at the 300 block of Park Avenue North and Garden Avenue North. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro, 425-207-6013.

S 14th Street
Monday, May 29th through Sunday, June 4th.
Road Closure on South 14th Street between Smithers Avenue S through Davis Avenue S for utility construction. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro, 425-207-6013.

Lake Washington Blvd N
Monday, May 29th through Friday, June 2nd, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Intermittent Lane closures on Lake Washington Blvd just north of Houser Way N/Gene Coulon Park due to grind and asphalt overlay of the roadway. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco, 425-282-2373.

Union Avenue NE
Monday, May 29th through Friday, June 2nd, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Northbound lane closure on Union Avenue NE near NE 27th Place due to utility construction. Approved traffic control plans have been issued for all work and will be followed. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco, 425-282-2373.

SW 7th Street
Monday, May 29th through Friday, June 2nd, 7:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Lane closures along SW 7th Street between Powell Avenue SW and Lind Avenue SW due to grind and removal of asphalt for storm water Capital Improvement Project. I-405 and East Valley Highway
Monday, May 29th through Friday, June 2nd, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The northbound East Valley Highway between SW 23rd Street and SW 19th Street will be closed daily for I-405 Direct Connector Project. Questions may be directed to Rohini Nair, 206-999-1822.

Talbot Road South
Monday, May 29th through Friday, June 2nd, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Additional truck traffic and hauling will occur in the Vicinity of Valley Medical Hospital related to the construction of the new parking garage. Questions may be directed to Tom Main, 206-999-1822.

80th Avenue
Tuesday, May 29 through approximately Friday, September 1, 2017:
The City of Kent will be conducting a pavement rehabilitation project along 80th Avenue South between South 194th Street and South 190th Street. This project is near the City of Renton border.
