Renton Announces Police Promotions

Renton, WA: Renton Police Chief Kevin Milosevich announced the promotions of three members of the Renton Police Department.

Kevin Keyes was promoted to Commander on May 16, 2015. Keyes has over 19 years of law enforcement experience. He has been with the Renton Police Department since 2000, spending time in patrol, narcotics, and in investigations. Commander Keyes has a reputation for providing outstanding leadership and his ability to motivate his fellow officers.

After over 31 years of law enforcement experience, Michael Luther was promoted to Commander on June 1, 2015. Luther has been with the Renton Police Department since 1990, spending time in patrol and investigations. He is known for his steady approach as a leader and is respected both locally and regionally for his investigative skills. Commander Luther will be assigned to investigations.

On May 16, 2015 Chandler Swain was promoted to Sergeant after over 14 years of experience in law enforcement. Sergeant Swain has been with the Renton Police Department since 2002, spending time in patrol, bicycle patrol, narcotics, and Valley SWAT. He is a leader in the department who is known for his professionalism and ability to maintain a calm demeanor during stressful situations.
