Renton Youth Symphony Orchestra Offers Summer and Fall programs

Renton, WA – The City of Renton invites music students ages 11 to 12 to participate in the Renton Youth Symphony Orchestra’s summer music camp. The camp is held at Carco Theatre, 1717 SE Maple Valley Highway, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning Monday, August 13, and ending with a performance for family and friends on Friday, August 17. The fall session begins Monday, September 10 and ends Monday, December 10. Rehearsals are held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Carco Theatre. To join the Renton Youth Symphony Orchestra, students must also participate in a school music program.

The Renton Youth Symphony Orchestra has a 25-year history of offering South King County youth a classical music education and includes a full symphony orchestra experience and classical-jazz solo and ensemble work. For more information on the Renton Youth Symphony Orchestra, visit rentonwa.gov
