Renton Winter Weather Update - Removal of Trees and Branches

Renton, WA: City crews are traveling through the city removing tree limbs and woody debris from the streets, and also removing sand with sweeper trucks. Residents with trees or branches to dispose of can place them in their Yard and Food Waste carts. They must be trimmed to less than 4 feet in length and not exceed 4 inches in diameter. If you have more than your cart will hold, place them in cardboard boxes, paper or compostable bags, or tie them in bundles less than 3 ½ feet in any dimension as long as it doesn’t exceed 60 pounds. Alternatively, excess tree branches and limbs can be saved for the next scheduled collection day or be disposed of at the following locations (fees may apply):

Power Outages

Puget Sound Energy crews continue to work around the clock to restore electric service to customers who lost power following last week’s series of snow, freezing rain and windy weather. Customers can track power outages in their community at www.pse.com. Outages may be reported by calling Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773, logging onto PSE.com, or sending an email to customercare@pse.com with name, address and account number.

Storm Disrupts Comcast Service

Winter storm conditions and power outages have disrupted cable service throughout the region. Comcast has indicated their crews are currently working to make repairs at approximately 200 locations along several thousand miles of lines, and a majority of their customers will see their services return once power is restored.
