The City of Renton is seeking candidates to serve on the City Center Community Plan Advisory Board. This is the city’s first Community Plan Advisory Board and is an exciting opportunity for supporters of City Center.

Board members must live, work, own property, or represent a non-profit/faith based/social service agency within the City Center area. The board will be responsible for helping to ensure the City Center Community Plan is advanced and making recommendations regarding the priorities of the plan. The plan was adopted in June and sets the goals that seek to continue to improve the City Center over the next 20 years.

Each member will be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Members serve without compensation and must be able to attend meetings as often as six times per year with the possibility of occasional special sessions. Meetings will start in the evening.

Electronic applications can be completed online by accessing the Boards and Commissions webpage. Hard copy applications can be downloaded from the Boards and Commissions webpage or the City Center Community Plan webpage at rentonwa.gov, or received by mail by calling 425-430-6576. Complete hard copy applications should be mailed to the City of Renton, Planning Division, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton WA, 98057. All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. December 15, 2011.
