The exhibit will be on display November 15 through December 17, 2010.  Members of the public are welcome to attend the artist reception on Saturday, December 17, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to view the art and meet the artist.

Shirley Rudolf has been living her dream of painting watercolors for the last thirteen years and has recently taken up acrylics for a change of pace.  Her paintings reflect confidence and expression through the use of vibrant colors and captured details.  Her work has been included in multiple exhibits and juried shows across her native California and Western Washington since the beginning of her painting career.

Shirley’s works encompass a wide range of subjects—from traditional flowers, landscapes, and animals to stylized scenes of sisters enjoying each other’s company and Native Americans in ceremonial attire.  “It is crucial for artists to be aware of their surroundings as beauty is everywhere, and it is the artist’s responsibility to bring that beauty to the attention of others.  Visual arts expand knowledge, compassion and appreciation to all.”
