RENTON: Renton’s City Attorney Larry Warren was among a distinguished group of Washington lawyers highlighted in the June 2008 issue of Washington Law & Politics magazine. This is the second year in a row that Warren has received this recognition.
The 2008 Super Lawyer list was based on surveys mailed to over 17,000 active lawyers in Washington who were asked to nominate the best attorneys they’ve personally observed in action. A rigorous multi-step selection process was used, including a system of balloting, an evaluation of the candidates by Law & Politics research department, and a peer evaluation by practice area. Those who make the cut are among the top one percent of the state's lawyers.
"I am deeply honored to have been selected by my fellow lawyers as a Washington Super Lawyer,” said City Attorney Larry Warren. “Over the years, I have been privileged to work with the finest staff of lawyers and law enforcement professionals imaginable. They too must share in this distinction," said Warren.
Larry Warren is a senior partner in the law firm of Warren, Barber & Fontes, P.S. He has served as Renton’s City Attorney for 30 years. Mr. Warren was lead counsel in Renton v. Playtime Theatres, resulting in a landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a frequent speaker at legal seminars, serves on the board of several legal organizations and has received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the most trusted source for identifying qualified legal counsel, for his legal ability and ethics.
Super Lawyers is a comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys, representing a wide range of practice areas, firm sizes and geographic locations.
