Benson Hill Communities progress group members
At the community’s request, King County and the City of Renton will provide annexation information and answer questions for Benson Hill Communities residents at a town hall meeting including a panel discussion. The purpose is to:

  • Provide residents with information about governance options and service choices.
  • Help people get answers to questions about annexation
  • Encourage residents to participate and to vote.

In January 2007, Benson Hill Communities area residents submitted a petition requesting a vote on annexation to Renton. Benson Hill Communities annexation area is located in the unincorporated area south and east of Renton, and includes over 16,000 residents in the Cascade, Benson Hill, Spring Glen and Spring Brook neighborhoods. Renton has requested that King County hold an election so that residents can vote on the question in the November 6, 2007, general election.

Thursday, July 19, 2007, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Panel discussion starts at 7:00 p.m.
