Renton River Days is a beloved and community-inspired festival that unites the diverse and ever-growing residents of Renton, with over 25,000+ attendees in 2023. The City of Renton is happy to announce that this year's festival will take place on July 26, 27, and 28. Prepare for an exciting lineup of activities, including the Senior Day Picnic, golf tournament, drone show, parade, Summer Arts & Crafts Bazaar, Activity Zone, live entertainment, and the Renton Foodie Fest.

Celebrate the festival at various locations throughout Renton, including the Renton Community Center, Maplewood Golf Course, Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park, Liberty Park, Cedar River Park, and the Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center. As the festival nears, detailed information on festival hours, activity schedules, and entertainment performances will be posted on the city's website.

The city takes pride in community-building events like Renton River Days. These traditions are made possible through generous sponsorship investments from dedicated corporate partners and local businesses. To inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please email [email protected].

Attending the festival is one way to enjoy Renton River Days, but for anyone interested in playing a larger role in this annual gathering, consider participating in the following ways:

  • Apply for a community booth at Liberty Park on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. Community booths facilitate engagement between nonprofits and the public, allowing them to showcase their mission. The application deadline is June 28.
  • Join the Renton River Days Parade on Saturday, July 27. Be creative, promote a business or social group, and entertain the community. The registration deadline is July 12, and there is a $25 fee upon acceptance. The parade theme is "Where Community Grows."

Renton River Days is an unforgettable celebration of our community's spirit and togetherness, and the city is excited to celebrate with Renton this year.

Arbor Day Earth Day and Community Celebration

Celebrating Arbor Day / Earth Day in Renton

As Earth Day approaches, the City of Renton continues its tradition of celebrating the planet's beauty and emphasizing the importance of preserving it.

Mayor Armondo Pavone designated April 15 as Arbor Day / Earth Day in Renton during Monday night's council meeting to commence the Earth Day celebrations. Accepting the proclamation was the city's Urban Forestry & Natural Resources Inspecting Arborist, Gabriella Golzarian.

The festivities continue into the weekend with the city's annual Earth Day / Arbor Day volunteer event on Saturday, April 20 with the addition of the first Renton Community Celebration of the year in partnership with the Neighborhood Program.

The first event theme will be a sustainability fair right after the volunteer event on April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Renton Community Center. Enjoy live music, food, and entertaining games while interacting with city staff and community organizations about the importance of practicing sustainability daily.

With approximately 120,000 trees in Renton, the city's Urban Forestry program has diligently managed 30,000. Renton has proudly been an Arbor Day Foundation "Tree City USA" for 16 years, even receiving growth awards for 13 years.

Trees have a profound impact on everyone's well-being, enhancing our urban environment and playing a crucial role in air quality. Being good environmental stewards for our community means protecting and planting trees.
