Description - The 1% for the Arts Program was created by the City to expand public experience with visual art and to display a sense of civic pride.
The Municipal Arts Commission collaborates with the Mayor, City Council, and project staff to implement art projects.
Management of this program moved to the Department of Community and Economic Development (CED) in 2008.
Schedule – This is an ongoing program.
Project budget – $15,000 is estimated to be the Transportation Division's annual contribution to this program. The actual funding amount varies as it is tied to the calculated share of eligible types of transportation projects and transportation funding subject to the City's 1% for the Arts Program and is based on actual design and construction costs.
