Sports Field & Gym Rentals

Inclement Weather Line: To find out if programs or activities have been cancelled or if facilities have been closed due to inclement weather call 425-430-6719. The inclement weather line is updated at 4:00 p.m. on weekdays at 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays and at 12:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Sports Fields

Sports field rentals are available for softball, baseball, soccer, football and other activities.  Complete and submit the Field Use Request Form.  Field rental requests must be submitted in writing and include the following:

  • Date of request, start time, end time and location of event
  • Renter's name with complete contact information
  • Nature/purpose of field rental

Seasonal Usage Timeline

For fall, September 1 - December 30, requests accepted June 15 - July 15
For winter, January 1 - February 28, requests accepted November 1 - November 30
For spring/summer, March 1 - August 31, request accepted January 1 - January 30

Gym Rentals

The Renton Community Center gym is available for rent during operating hours as the schedule allows.  Gym reservations can be made one week in advance by calling 425-430-6700.  Rental rates for a full gym are $45 an hour for residents and $50 an hour for non-residents.  Rental rates for a double gym are $90 an hour for residents and $100 an hour for non-residents.

The City of Renton complies with the State of Washington's "Fair Play in Community Sports Act" (Chapter 467, 2009 Laws, effective July 26, 2009) that prohibits discrimination against any person on the basis of sex in the operation, conduct or administration of community athletics programs. Third parties who contract with or receive leases or permits from the City of Renton, for a community athletic program are also prohibited from discriminating on the basis of sex.
