Recreation Programs

The City of Renton offers a wide variety of leisure and recreation programming for area residents. Arts & craft classes, general interest programs and fitness and wellness activities for ages 3 through 103 are available. The Renton Accessible Playground is a joint effort of the City of Renton, the Renton School District and Renton Rotary. The City is working with and actively seeking additional funding partners. The accessible playground is being designed for all abilities and will be co-located on the North Highlands Neighborhood Center and the Hillcrest Early Childhood Learning Center properties. COMPUTER INSTRUCTOR NEEDED
The Renton Senior Activity Center is in need of an experienced Computer Instructor familiar with Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems; MS Office Suite 2007 and 2010 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Adobe Photo Shop Elements 11; and Internet Explorer 10 and 11 as well as a variety of subjects; social media, email, file organizations, system utilities, etc. Instructor should be sensitive to the needs and characteristics of older adults and posses extreme patience. Students may be first time computer users. Classes are held Monday through Friday typically between 9:30 – 11:30 am and 12:30 – 2:30 pm.
