Renter's Responsibilities

  

 The reservation season for picnic shelters is May 1 - September 30.
All shelters are first-come, first-serve with no amenities October 1 - April 30. 

Picnic Shelter reservations can be made on-line or in person at the Renton Community Center. 

To browse online for information, availability or reserve a shelter go to Rentonwa.gov/cybersignup

  and click "Reserve a Facility" or select the "Facilities" tab. From there you can search all of our facilities for information and availability. To search just for a shelter reservation, select "Online Picnic Shelter Reservation - Half Day or Full Day" as your function.

To reserve online, you will need a Family PIN and Participant Barcode. If you already have an account with us, select "Forgot My Password" to have your PIN and Barcode sent by email. If you do not have an account yet, you can select "Request New Account" on Cyber Sign-Up or call the Renton Community Center at 425-430-6700.

Picnic shelter reservations are available on a first-paid, first-served basis for non-profit events. No phone-in reservations allowed. Shelters are reservable May 1 through September 30, excluding holidays. Groups must adhere to the picnic shelter rules and regulations as set forth by the City of Renton. Informational Picnic Packets are available to answer your questions. Requests for special events must make full disclosure (e.g., weddings, religious services, catering, etc.). A day is considered 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The maximum we can accommodate is 150 people. Alcoholic beverages and bounce houses are strictly prohibited.

The following rates apply for Cedar River TrailPhilip Arnold Park, Riverview Park, Teasdale Park, and Heritage Park.  
Rental Rates
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - $90 for residents; $180 for non-residents
3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - $90 for residents; $180 for non-residents
All Day (groups under 75) - $140 for residents; $280 for non-residents

The following rates apply for  Coulon Beach South Shelters #1 and #2, Coulon Creekside Shelter.

8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - $100 for residents; $180 for non-residents
3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - $100 for residents; $180 for non-residents
All Day (groups under 75) - $140 for residents; $280 for non-residents
South Shelters #1 & #2 - $300 for residents; $600 for non-residents

Groups 75 to 150 (maximum) - $190 for residents; $380 for non-residents

North Shelter are required to reserve all day
