Neighborhood Newsletter Grant

The Neighborhood Newsletter Grant helps foster strong and healthy neighborhoods by allowing residents to relay information about happenings in their neighborhood. Newsletter grants provide funds to offset the cost of printing, designing, mailing, or electronic distribution and development of newsletters, flyers or posters. 

The Neighborhood Grant Program offers funding for all Neighborhood Groups and/or Homeowners Associations officially recognized by the City as part of the Neighborhood Program.  The standard of support for communication funds is $1.50 per household contacted each year.  For example, if your neighborhood has 100 residents and each household is contacted, you may apply for $150 a year in grant funds. Neighborhoods can apply once per year on an annual basis. 

The 2017 Neighborhood Newsletter Grant is now closed.  

Eligibility

To be eligible for the 2017 Neighborhood Newsletter Grant, your neighborhood will need to be:

  • Registered as an "officially recognized" Renton neighborhood located within the City limits     
  • Participating in the City's Neighborhood Program
  • Have submitted an updated copy of your neighborhood bylaws
  • Have submitted an updated contact registry of your neighborhood leadership
  • Have submitted an updated boundary map of your neighborhood

To become registered as an "officially recognized" Renton neighborhood please fill out the following application and submit it to neighborhoodprogram@rentonwa.gov 

Application Information

Neighborhoods can submit one Communication Grant per year. The 2017 Neighborhood Communication Grant application is due by Friday, March 17th, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. If the application period has ended, the next project grant cycle will be available in January 2018.
