Carr Road Improvements - 2017-2022 TIP #11

Project Description - Carr Road, classified as a major arterial, was annexed to the City of Renton in 2008.  It has four lanes of traffic with left-turn lanes at intersections.  King County identified the need for improvements to improve vehicle traffic capacity and enhance vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian safety on this major east-west transportation corridor.

The project will include new pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, street lights, and traffic signals from Benson Road South to Talbot Road South.  This project will possibly include spot safety improvements, realignment of the roadway, and widening to five lanes.

Project Schedule - Planning activities are programmed for 2013.

Project Budget - $200,000 is programmed for planning activities only.  An estimated total project cost is $72 million.  This project is not funded at this time.    


The City of Renton hereby gives public notice that it is the Agency’s policy to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities. Title VI requires that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any Federal Aid Highway program or other activity for which the City of Renton receives federal financial assistance. 


Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with the City of Renton. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with the City of Renton Title VI Coordinator within one hundred, eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
