116th Avenue SE Improvements - 2017-2022 TIP #10

Project Manager - Jim Seitz, 425-430-7245

Project Description - 116th Avenue SE, classified as a minor arterial, was annexed to the City of Renton in 2008.  It generally has two lanes for traffic with left-turn lanes at intersections in the current configuration.  Sidewalks are intermittent.

In order to enhance vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian safety along this corridor, this project would widen the roadway to include bike lanes, a two-way-left-turn-lane, new pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, street lights, traffic signals, storm water drainage, striping and landscaping, from Puget Drive SE to the south City Limits.

Project Schedule - To be determined based on Federal and State Grant opportunities.

Project Budget - Nearly $14.3 million programmed into the 2012-2017 Transportation Improvement Program.  This project is completely unfunded at this time.
