The City of Renton is the only municipality, other than Seattle, in King County that operates a housing authority.  Since 1941, the Renton Housing Authority has been providing housing assistance to residents of Renton.  The housing authority helps to house low-income families, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities in more than 1,400 units throughout Renton.
