Contacting the Board

The board can be contacted through the Community Services Department at 425-430-6600.

Becoming a Board Member

In order to be eligible to be appointed to the Parks Commission, you need to be a Renton citizen.  Interested persons can fill out an application, submit it to the Mayor's office, and go through an interview process with the existing Commission.  The Commission then makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council, who approve the final appointment.  Members serve a four-year term.  Applications can be taken at any time, but interviews will only be conducted when there is a vacancy on the Commission.  For more information or to download an application, visit the Boards, Committees, and Commissions web page.

Municipal Code Governing the Commission

The Renton Municipal Code that governs the board can be found online at the MRSC web site.
